Full Time Pastor Julie Jensen email: julie.jensen@bordentownpresbyterian.org
Julie is a
graduate of the University of South Carolina (2000) and Columbia
Theological Seminary (2005). Her congregational internship was at
Westminster Presbyterian Church in Anacortes, WA. She has also served
as an Intern Chaplain at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital and Texas
Children’s Hospital, both in Houston, Texas.
Julie felt the call to ministry when she was in college and a part of
the University of South Carolina Presbyterian Student Association.
She spent a year and a half working in “Corporate America” before
beginning seminary in Decatur, GA. She was attracted to The First
Presbyterian Church in Bordentown by the sense of community evident
among the congregation, as well as the energy and excitement among the
people she met.

Treasurer Matt Kohnke
Matt first joined the congregation of First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown in 1996. He has served in the role as Treasurer since 2003. Prior to being Treasurer, he served as an Elder to the Church from 2000 through 2003.
Matt graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor degree in Accounting. He moved to Bordentown in 1994, where he lived Bordentown City for two years and then in Bordentown Township ever since. His roots in the Presbyterian Church were established during his teen years when he lived in Florham Park, NJ. During that time, Matt was highly involved as a member of the youth group, including 3 trips improving and building houses with the Appalachian Service Project. He continues to be involved in the youth group of our Church.
Matt's interests outside the Church include golf, fishing and baseball. Matt has two boys - ages 9 and 5 - who share the same interests. Besides being Treasurer, Matt is currently secretary of the Bordentown Little League and manages several teams throughout the year. |

(click here to find out more about our music program) Director of Music Wendy Huber Gwendolyn Huber (Wendy) has been at the First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown since September of 1996. She was brought up Mennonite in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and graduated from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey. When she's not at the Presbyterian Church or at home in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, she is a preschool music teacher at a couple of Princeton Nursery Schools. She also teaches private lessons and directs a "quirky" choir in a German Singing Society. Growing up, there was always a song on her lips and it is her goal to foster the same love of singing and the same expression through music wherever she finds herself, including in this wonderfully musical congregation. She can't think of a better way to teach, or learn, express or worship than through music and feels fortunate to be surrounded by many like-minded people. We have a congregation that sings hymns, psalms and responses during the service; a singing Sunday School and Youth; a dependable and talented choir who leads in worship with a variety of music styles; a handbell choir, small but mighty, and willing to rehearse at 9 PM on Thursdays; and there are other talented singers and instrumentalists, not the least of whom is our versatile and talented organist.
